Supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility in an industrial setting should take the OSHA 30-Hour training for General Industry. This program introduces the most important functions and roles of OSHA under 29CFR1910 and 1926 for the safety and health professional with responsibility for hazard and risk analysis as well as program administration. Topics include written plans, recordkeeping, OSHA basics, regulations interpretation, inspections, citations and fines, hazardous substances, PPE selection, use and fit testing, industrial hygiene, electrical, and blood-borne pathogens. Also covered are noise abatement, Hazwoper, lockout/tagout, confined space entry and rescue, machine guarding, methods of egress, walking and working surfaces, and hazard communications.
