This 16 hour course provides the concepts and tools required to manage projects successfully to meet project cost, schedule and quality goals. All of the project management disciplines will be covered. You will gain an understanding of how to exercise the basic planning, tracking, monitoring, and control techniques all project managers need for success. Hands-on exercises and cases will enable you to apply these disciplines for your own projects.

* Estimating how long and how much

Day Two:
Chapter 5 - Creating the Project Task Network
* Concept of precedence mapping
* Critical path concepts
* Slack concepts

Chapter 6 - Producing a Gantt Chart
* Gantt format MS Project conventions
* Case practice - create and critique project schedules for cases

Chapter 7 - Managing Resources
* Resource loading/leveling concepts
* Your performance contract
* Case practice - adding resource risks to cases templates
* Managing your own time

Chapter 8 - Project Tracking, Monitoring and Control
* The control cycle
* Estimating concepts
* Cost/Schedule performance measurement
* Risk quantification concepts
