Required, along with the 60-hour Real Estate First Year Sales class, to obtain a sales license, course includes 30 hours of continued education in advanced principles and practices. Includes the following five six-hour modules: Agency and Property Disclosures, Real Estate Contracts,Ethics and Real Estate, Measurements and Valuations, and Fair Housing.
Note: Evening classes meet Monday through Friday, 6-9pm.
All students will agree to the Policies and Procedures as outlined on a written form to be collected on the first class meetign. Please note this specific attendance policy:
ATTENDANCE: The South Carolina Real Estate Commission and Fortune Academy require that you attend ALL SESSIONS before you can take the Fortune exam and earn a certificate. NO PARTIAL CREDIT will be given for any class. If a student misses any part of a session or more than one session, the session, or those sessions missed can be made up at a future regularly scheduled class* $25.00 PER SESSION within 6 months or FULL CHARGES will be collected again. If for any reason a class cannot be held as scheduled, students will be notified, and a make-up class will be held as soon as practical. If for some reason a class is cancelled after it starts, students will be eligible to attend the next scheduled class at no charge. All students are required to conduct themselves in a professional manner including, but not limited to grooming, attitude, disruptive behavior and physical threats. If after two warnings offensive behavior continues the student may be expelled from the class at the discretion of the instructor and forfeit all fees paid for the class. Fortune Academy has a zero tolerance for cheating. Students caught cheating will be expelled and forfeit all fees paid for the class.
*Students who wish to make up a class or are required to AUDIT a class must make arrangements with Christopher Rico at Greenville Technical College to find a session with enough room to allow for auditing students. Students may NOT show up to any class without prior contact. Failure to make pre-arrangements may result in being denied entrance to the class.
