Hazardous Materials Emergency Response - Operation Level (OSHA 1910.120 HAZWOPER 24-Hours)
In light of today's uncertain times, a chemical emergency spill response capability in your plant may be a most prudent step toward being prepared for an unforeseen incident. OSHA requires that certain industrial personnel must be trained and prepared to respond to and handle an unexpected chemical release in your facility (29 CFR 1920.120). The US Environmental Protection Agency, in cooperation with OSHA, has developed a training curriculum that meets the requirements of federally mandated employee training. The Buck Mickel Center offers courses that cover the necessary competencies for compliance when responding to incidents involving hazardous materials.
This course is for personnel responding to a hazardous substance release to contain and control. Participants will be trained to respond defensively, contain the substance released and minimize exposure to the surrounding environment.
