Construction Academy
The Construction Academy is a series of five courses related to the construction fundamentals and construction industry safety. The courses include, National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core Introduction to Basic Construction Skills, NCCER Tools for Success, American Heart First Aid/CPR/AED, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 Hours Construction Industry, and Fall Protection. The academy is mirrored on a standard five-day work week with an emphasis on safety, basic construction skills, reporting to work on time, dressing appropriately for the construction industry, and communicating effectively with co-workers and supervisors. Students who successfully complete the Construction Academy are encouraged to continue in either the NCCER General Carpentry course or the Electrical Technician training program.
