Otherwise, this AHA course delivers online content and interactive activities in Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens designed to teach students:

  • How to protect themselves from bloodborne pathogens in the workplace.

  • How to act when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace.

  • How to use the right steps to clean themselves and the area when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace 

  • How to report any exposure to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace.

This online course can be used for first-time or renewal bloodborne pathogens training and provides students with a certificate of completion when they have successfully completed all modules.

This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction conducted by the participant at the workplace (separate from Greenville Technical College).
