MODULE IV: CLINICAL EXTERNSHIP XNUR 514 - 84 hours
Pre-Requisite Enrollment Requirements: Successful completion of Modules I and II and III above (XNUR 505/507 AND XNUR 512 AND XNUR 513)
At the completion of this externship, the nurse refresher will demonstrate competency and renewed self-confidence in the following areas:
- Integration of the nursing process as a framework for the management of care of clients and families.
- Application of organizational and interpersonal communication skills in managing the needs of clients and families.
- Integration of cultural, spiritual, psychological, and developmental influences when managing client care.
- Integration of the principles of pharmacology safely and competently when providing client care.
- Incorporation of the principles of safety when providing care to clients and families.
- Incorporation of the principles of nutrition for maintaining and promoting optimal healthcare for clients and families.
- Incorporation of legal, ethical, and professional parameters into the care of clients.
