BRING YOUR OWN STREET LEGAL MOTORCYCLE TO RIDE IN CLASS. For all PRIVATELY OWNED motorcycles, the student must provide proof of ownership and/or notarized permission to operate (is available on website: www.scridered.org). Proof of insurance is also required. This includes all borrowed motorcycles. "Tag Applied For" is not acceptable.

Mechanically unsafe motorcycles will NOT be permitted in the class. Come with a full tank of gas and please check the tire tread and air pressure. Improperly inflated tires are the number one cause of tire failure.

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Students must provide personal protective gear and are responsible for proper usage of the gear. All personal equipment must be worn at all times while on a motorcycle during the course. Students must wear a DOT approved (full face or three quarters) helmet, over-the-ankle footwear, long pants, long sleeved shirt or jacket, full fingered gloves, and eye protection. HELMET style and proper fit is the STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY and must meet the minimum DOT Standard. NO HALF HELMETS PERMITTED.

NOTE: Successful class completion is dependent upon student's performance. You MUST attend all classes, pass both a written and a practical assessment. Tardiness is not permitted. ACTIVE RIDING PARTICIPATION IS PROHIBITED once any portion is missed.
