Learn the standard do's and don'ts of floral design, techniques for standard everyday arranging, product quality and floral standards. We'll discuss the history of floral design, care and handling of flowers, and flower and foliage forms.
We'll demonstrate the materials, mechanics and design standards; then discuss where to purchase the supplies you'll bring to the following three classes. You'll gain hands-on experience implementing these vital elements to make beautiful arrangements properly!
Bring a knife, scissors, wirecutters and the following required floral supplies to the 1st class:
12 flower stems
1 bunch babies breath
1 bunches of greenery
1 vase 10” x 4”
2 yards #9 matching ribbon (optional)
For Ikebana Arrangement:
3 major flowers, fresh or silk
3 pieces of nice, graceful greenery (such as Italian Ruskus)
Unusual shallow container
1 block floral foam for fresh/silk flowers
1 sheet green sheet moss to cover foam.
Floral Design I strongly recommended but not required.
