NOTE: Class will not meet Tuesday, November 8, due to Election Day, and will end on November 22.
The emphasis of this third class will largely be on wedding design, with a review of corsage and boutonniere construction, as well as an introduction to the retail aspects of, and career opportunities in the floral industry. Learn the latest techniques on floral arrangements, product maintenance as well as implementing proper and recommended sales techniques and how to upgrade an arrangement from a bouquet to an arrangement worthy of a special event.
We'll demonstrate the materials, mechanics and design standards; then discuss where to purchase the supplies you'll bring to the remaining classes. You'll gain hands-on experience combining all the elements to create your own beautiful arrangements to take home! Students provide flowers and supplies.
