Course Description

Beginners, discover the mechanics of your digital SLR manually adjustable camera! We’ll explore picture design, lighting, depth of field, and the basic elements of composition - line shape, color and texture. You’ll provide your own camera and memory card. At least one class may meet off campus on a day other than originally scheduled, weather permitting. Must be 18 years of age to enroll.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Manually adjustable single lens reflex digital camera, paper and pen, lens cleaning kit, and camera manual.

OPTIONAL Text: The Basic Book of Photography, by Tom & Michelle Grimm, may be purchased online or at your favorite bookseller.
