Each four-hour camp takes place during the course of a single day at our new Truist Culinary & Hospitality Innovation Center (CHI) in West Greenville. Open to current 9th through 12th graders, these one-day pop-up camps continue the summer camp fun and offer a glimpse into the life of a professional chef, with an emphasis on learning new techniques and enjoying delicious dishes made from scratch! Hone your baking and pastry skills, learn how to make mouthwatering savory entrees, and further your understanding of essential cooking techniques with Accelerate U.

If you find yourself daydreaming about café au lait and sweet treats near the Seine, this class is for you! CHI's chef-instructor will guide you through every step of the process for producing picture-perfect results from the incredibly versatile pâte à choux (choux pastry).

In this course, you'll learn the techniques behind some of France's most famous pastries, including eclairs, profiteroles (cream puffs!) and the showstopping Paris-Brest. You'll also learn how to make multiple fillings and toppings, from luxurious pastry cream to shiny, decadent chocolate glaze. As a bonus, Chef will teach you how to produce savory appetizers like cheesy, delicious gougères.
