|Asbestos Management Planner|
Federal and state regulations require specific training for personnel involved in asbestos management. Asbestos Management Planner is a 2-day course designed to meet AHERA accreditation requirements for management planners in schools and to provide a model for asbestos management planning in public and commercial buildings. Participants learn how to utilize an asbestos inspection report to develop a working management plan for the facility focusing on procedures for conducting a hazard assessment, selection of asbestos control options, and implementation of an asbestos management plan. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a certificate of accreditation that may be used for licensing purposes. An annual 1-day refresher is required for re-accreditation.
SC-DHEC and NC-DHHS approved asbestos abatement training may be used for NC and SC licensing as an asbestos abatement professional. For information about other state licensing, please contact Karen Hampton at 864-250-8438.
