ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Advanced Cardiac Life Support emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

This course is designed for personnel who staff emergency departments, intensive care units, or critical care departments -- physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may be called to respond and have the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage critical situations.

Required Text: 2020 ACLS Provider book, available at Greenville Technical College bookstore, approximate cost $40. MUST complete the website pretest indicated in the book before class with a MINIMUM score of 70. MUST bring completed pretest paperwork, book, and current CPR/BLS Healthcare Provider card to class.
