PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ENROLLING: If you are taking this course to satisfy an academic or vocational need in a healthcare-related field, this is not the correct course. You need CPR/BLS Healthcare Provider.

Parents, teachers, coaches, counselors, child care workers, and anyone else responsible for children can benefit from this course specifically designed for childcare providers. This course teaches basic first aid, CPR, and AED skills for children including what to do when a child or infant has a breathing problem, how to give CPR compressions and breaths to an infant or child, and how to stop bleeding. AHA Instructors provide immediate feedback as students perform hands-on activities to complete their first aid, CPR and AED skills practice, and CPR and AED skills testing. Upon completion of the training and skills test, participants receive an AHA HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid Course Completion Card valid for two years.

This web-blended course is an ideal option to the Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Pediatric classroom training. The self-paced online courseware is accessible anytime (24 hours a day) and takes approximately 150 minutes to complete. A Certificate of Completion can be printed by the student after successful completion of the online part. This PRINTED certificate must be presented to the instructor upon arrival at the practice and skills check session. The student will meet with an AHA instructor to complete a hands-on skills practice session and a skills test which takes approximately 120 minutes.

Please allow up to 3 business days to receive your key code and log-in instructions. Upon registration of this course and distribution of key code, you will also be registered for the next available Skills Checkoff session. If the skills check date does not work for your schedule, please call 864-250-8637 to choose another scheduled date. Please remember that your scheduled check-off session is considered a class, and cancellation/no-shows may be subject to additional charges/ fees.

The skills check must be completed within 90 days of course enrollment and within 60 days of the date of the printed completion certificate.

Once you register for the online blended course, you will be scheduled by our office into the next available Skills Checkoff (usually last Friday of each month, from 11:30 am-1:30 pm).
