Hazardous Materials Emergency Response - Technician Level (OSHA 1910.120 HAZWOPER - 40 Hours)

Ensuring that employees have the ability to provide emergency response to a chemical spill response capability is a prudent step toward being prepared for an unforeseen incident. OSHA requires that certain industrial personnel must be trained and prepared to respond to and handle an unexpected chemical release in their facility (29 CFR 1920.120). This course explains EPA and OSHA requirements for emergency response team members who respond to stop spills and releases of hazardous materials. It includes theory-based and performance-based competencies. Participants are required to participate in practical exercises using instruments and equipment. Medical clearance is required for respirator use in practical exercises.
