Due to the administrative reporting required for these classes, we cannot offer same-day registration.

Minors must register in person with parent/guardian at the Dreisbach/Anderson Student Success Center, Barton Campus, Building 102, 506 South Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville SC. Hours are M-Th, 8AM to 5PM and Fridays 8AM to 1PM. Minors who attempt to register online without prior consent will forfiet their seat in class AND lose their registration fee. No exceptions to this rule.

Our Defensive Driving course, which meets all requirements put forth by the National Safety Council and the SC Department of Highways & Public Transportation, can be taken for a four point credit only once every three years.

If You Are Under 17 and accrue six or more points on your driving record before you have held your license for one year, your license will be suspended for six months.

Also, if you are convicted of a traffic offense or involved in an at-fault accident, the driving restrictions will not be removed from your license for one year from the last offense or until you reach 17 years of age.

If you miss any portion of the class, you do NOT receive credit for the course and no refund is given. Please see the bottom of this confirmation concerning our cancellation policy. This class can be taken once every 3 years for a 4 point reduction.

If time is critical in the point reduction process, the Completion Certificate should be hand delivered to the Driver Service Window at 1630 Shop Road in Columbia, SC. All questions regarding driver license status or violation information should be referred to Driver Service at (803)896-5000.

Individuals taking this course for another state will be responsible for determining if our class will be accepted by that state and for submitting any and all paperwork to that state. Neither the Greenville Tech nor the SC Chapter NSC office will handle any information pertaining to a defensive driving course being completed for another state other than South Carolina.
