This is a basic course in health insurance claim processing and follow up. Presents understanding of the various types of insurance plans, introduces coding basics, successful navigation of the varying rules and regulations applying to the healthcare industry, including HIPAA, False Claims Act, Fair Debt Collections Act, and Stark, reimbursement issues, and exercises to practice CMS 1500 claims completion and understanding of the life cycle of a medical billing claim and how to improve the revenue cycle. Following this class we recommend the Certified Revenue Cycle Associate to enhance your preparation for the CRCA Certification.
