Course Description

Urology is the branch of surgery that focuses on the urinary tracts of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males. Urologists are trained to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with urological disorders. This course will discuss Urodynamics, incontinence treatments, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and prostate cancer, and other ailments of the urology system. Also covered are CPT procedures associated with urology and coding challenges faced by this sub-specialty.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
--Recognize the various routine services and procedures likely to be billed from this sub-specialty.
--Understand Urodynamics.
--Know the different treatments associated with urinary incontinence.
--Understand BPH, its treatment, and billing.
--Discuss the diagnosis of prostate cancer and proper billing.
--Identify urology coding challenges.
