Course Description

This class is the first step toward becoming certified with AAPC (CPC) Or Practice Management Institute (CMC). After this class it is highly recommended to complete the AAPC Course or Certified Medical Coder Course.

Job Options after Certification: coder in a physician's office, staffing facility or other healthcare arena.

Training includes: ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, Medicare/Medicaid billing and coding procedures. Includes 40 online clinical hours


CO-REQUISITE:  HS Diploma or GED,  Medical Terminology for Coding Specialists BOA871,  OSHA BOC824 ,  HIPAA Privacy Training BOD689,  National  Medicare Training  BOC766.
