The Project Management Program combines a curriculum focusing on basic project management principles with hands-on practice of computer software packages (Microsoft Project and project management templates) and is used for projects in engineering, manufacturing, healthcare and information technology. This certificate program will provide you with a head start in project management or enhance your ability to better manage your projects. It is also designed for experienced project managers to maintain their skills and obtain PDU credit.
Provides an overview of the strategic purposes of identifying and managing projects for success. Key project management disciplines and tools will be covered with particular emphasis of how the overall organization should support and use project management disciplines including the role of management, customers, resource providers, sponsors and users.
This course provides the concepts and tools required to manage projects successfully to meet project cost, schedule and quality goals. All of the project management disciplines will be covered. Hands-on exercises and cases will enable you to apply these disciplines for your own projects. AMA Test Training Guide and PM templates are included.
Identifies and develops skill sets and tools for project managers to be an agent for change, able to build teams, solve problems through teams, conduct effective meetings, negotiate for resources, and communicate with project stakeholders. You will learn skills and how to apply them through role playing practice.
Learn how to identify potential risks, quantify their impact on cost, schedule and performance, develop and track risk responses to reduce the impact or probability of occurrence. You will practice identifying, managing and communicating risks as a team from case studies.
