Federal and state regulations require specific training for personnel involved in asbestos management. This three-day inspector course is designed for individuals who inspect for the presence of asbestos and illustrates the basic considerations and procedures used to locate asbestos-containing materials in buildings.
Current federal regulations require asbestos inspections prior to demolition or renovation; persons attending this course meet federal EPA and OSHA accreditation requirements for individuals responsible for performing asbestos inspection activities in buildings. Students are evaluated upon course completion with a 50-question, multiple choice exam and must achieve a passing score of 70 percent in order to receive a course certificate.
This SC-DHEC and NC-DHHS approved asbestos abatement training may be used for licensing as an asbestos abatement professional. For other state licensing, please call Karen Hampton at 864-250-8438 to inquire about specific state approvals.
